While I love to doodle on paper, I recently discovered the joy of digital doodling. It’s not expensive, and it doesn’t take long to get in the groove. There are free and low-cost programs you can use – I started by Clip Studio Paint (30 day free trial and less than $30 for a lifetime license), than decided to try Adobe Fresco (totally free). Here’s one I did with Clip Studio Paint on my first day!

I really like them both. I find Clip Studio Paint more intuitive to use, while Adobe Fresco has a wet-on-wet watercolor option I really liked. And I hear Krita is the most full-featured of the free apps (and the lower priced apps), while Ibis Paint is a free, ad-supported app for your mobile.
